About the photographer:
 Walter Chandoha (1920–2019) was a photojournalist during World War II, before a chance encounter with a cat led him down a path that would mark his professional career. His images of these animals have appeared on more than 300 magazine covers and in thousands of advertisements, from billboards and t-shirts to the gigantic Kodak Colorama that displays its 100 m² in New York's Grand Central Terminal.
